  • The image on this page, titled "The Dove that Goes Bang," is a redesign of Picasso's "Peace Dove" poster, created for the World Committee of Peace Partisans' conference held in Paris in the spring of 1949. The dove, with a tank-turret for a head and a cannon for a beak, was intended to expose use of the "peace dove" symbol as propaganda by organizations with less-than-peceful goals.
