The Do Something for Peace web site offers resources and links for you to discover reliable information, actions to be taken, and inspiration for the ongoing pursuit of peaceful resolution to world conflict. This web site is produced by volunteers in Siskiyou County, in one of the most sparsely populated counties of rural California, to encourage other rural communities to become active in the peace effort!
On Saturday, March 19th, Siskiyou County peace advocates met in Mt. Shasta and joined with hundreds of communities and cities across the country and around the globe in protest of the Iraq war. This day was also a day of conscience and a memorial for the maimed, crippled, dead men, women and children who have died needlessly in a war founded on lies.
