  • Citizens Responsible Government meets in Redding, generally at the First Christian Church (on the northeast corner of Buenaventura and Placer streets in Redding.) Info from Doug Milhous crgredding@snowcrest.net.


  • Peace in Redding is a local web site with a lot of information in support of the Peace Community of Redding.


  • Chico Peace & Justice Center things YOU can do - spread the word, spread the peace.

  • Peace Vigils Everyone is invited to join weekly peace vigils whenever they can. Bring a sign, and spend an hour with friends and neighbors educating our local communities and sharing ideas while we stand up for peace. In Mt. Shasta on Tuesdays, 5pm in front of the police department in the new plaza on the corner of Mt. Shasta Blvd. and Lake St. In Yreka on Tuesdays, 5pm in front of the post office, 401 S. Broadway. in Dunsmuir on Fridays, 5pm in front of the post office, 5530 Dunsmuir Ave.

The original quote is from Bertolt Brecht. Winston Churchill, anticipating this famous anti-war poster, wrote to his wife in November 1914: "I wonder what would happen if the armies suddenly and simultaneously went on strike and some other method must be found of settling the dispute!
